Multi-State Vacuum Switchable Hydromounts (patented)

The ultimate performance in switchable mounts. The multi-state inertia track & switching technology allows the mount to respond to different vehicle conditions by using signals controlled by the engine control unit (ECU). Specifically, the technology addresses: 1. Improved idle noise and vibration isolation, 2. Enhanced damping to minimize smooth road shake; and 3. Improved powertrain control under vehicle launch conditions. This solution is currently in production and provides weight and cost savings to more conventional mitigation strategies.

Bi-State Vacuum or Electric Switchable Hydromounts

A reactive system technology to more accurately respond to a variety of road conditions. These mounts are designed to decrease engine noise and vibration, as well as damping to smooth road shake, which results in improved overall occupant ride comfort. Currently in production and available in either vacuum or electrically actuated switching mechanisms.

Conventional Hydraulic Mounts

Fluid inside the inertia tracks is tuned to work as an absorber to reduce travel and vibration. Our portfolio of hydraulic mounts and bushings products are dynamically tuned to unique vehicle specifications to ensure optimal system integration.

Elastomeric Mount Systems

A variety of conventional elastomeric powertrain mount systems, such as mount to cradle, torque axis, pendulum and mounts to frame, help isolate noise and vibration to ensure an improved driver experience. The portfolio also offers bracket design and development. All Cooper Standard systems are designed to meet targeted modes and frequencies to provide proper isolating and damping characteristics. Expert tuning ensures mounts move in a predicted manner.

Hydro Bodymounts (patented)

Currently in production, this system consists of a separate load-bearing upper cushion with hydro lower cushion. Fluid inside the inertia track is tuned to work as an absorber to reduce travel and vibration. These products are dynamically tuned to unique vehicle specifications to ensure optimal system integration.

Hydraulic bodymounts provide damping levels that are four times higher than a typical hydraulic engine mount and 10 to 16 times the damping level of a typical body mount. It also provides reduced vibration levels of up to 60 percent for the rear seat and 45 to 50 percent for the front seat.

Elastomeric Bodymounts and Cradle Mounts

A variety of conventional elastomeric bodymount designs, shear & compression style, both with and without rate plates. Bodymounts utilize butyl or high damped natural rubber to damp body & frame modes resulting in an improved driver experience. Cradle mounts are fabricated with natural rubber for improved heat resistance & durability. All Cooper Standard systems are designed to meet optimal isolation and damping characteristics, while surpassing vehicle durability targets.
